About the role
We're looking for a Platform/DevOps Engineer to set up and run a secure, reliable cloud environment for a sensitive-data product. You'll own deployments, secrets/keys, monitoring, and the baseline security foundations that keep the system safe in production.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain deployment pipelines (build → test → deploy)
- Manage secrets and keys safely (no secrets in code; controlled access)
- Set up and maintain environment separation (dev/stage/prod) and basic access controls
- Implement monitoring/alerts and write simple runbooks (how to respond to issues)
- Support scheduled background jobs when needed (cleanup, retention, maintenance)
- Partner with backend/security to ensure encryption and key services are used correctly
Required (must-have)
- Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines and production deployments
- Strong secrets/keys hygiene (proper storage, access control, rotation practices)
- Comfortable with basic cloud security controls (least privilege access, environment separation)
- Experience setting up monitoring/alerts and basic operational runbooks
Nice-to-have
- Experience with managed key services (cloud KMS) and key rotation concepts
- Backup/restore drills experience
- Experience operating scheduled jobs (cleanup, retention)
